Form: Symmetrical canopy with a regular outline. Leaf: 12" opposite,compound leaf with 5 to 9 leaflets; yellow fall color
Comments:  This somewhat irregularly-shaped tree when young, becomes an oval with age and will adapt to many different landscape conditions.

Form: Pyramidal in youth; upright; spreading Leaf: 12" opposite,compound leaf with 5 to 9 leaflets; yellow fall color
Comments:  Transplants well; grows in a variety of locations and soils; adaptable tree; drought, wind, and salt tolerance.
 
River Birch (Betula Nigra)
River Birch Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Moderate - Fast

Form: Pyramidal when young; upright; open; thin twigs Leaf: 2 to 3.5" alternate, simple leaf; modest yellow fall color.
Comments:  Multistemmed is desired; native; graceful branching; easy to transplant; best not to prune in spring - sap "bleeds"; heat tolerant; cinnamon brown exfoliating bark; may drop some leaves during dry weather; seeds attract birds.
 
Whitespire Birch (Betula Platyphylla)
Whitespire Birch Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Fast

Form: Pyramidal habit with a central leader; thin spreading branches Leaf: Dark green pointy leaves turn yellow in the fall.
Comments:  Exotic white-barked tree that is more resistant to bronze birch borer than the other birch trees. It has a white, non-peeling bark and is more heat-tolerant and disease-resistant than other white-barked trees.
 
Donald Wyman (Malus 'Donald Wyman')

Form: Rounded growth habit, and most often grows a bit wider than it does tall Leaf: Spring and summer foliage is green, turning amber/yellow in autumn.
Comments:  This tree flowers in early spring, buds begin as an almost crimson red, and as they open fade to pure white.

Comments:  Snowdrift crab is a beautiful, hardy tree with visual impact during all four seasons.

Form: Pyramidal in youth; tall; spreading branches; broad, rounded, open crown Leaf: 4" to 8" alternate, simple leaves; modest yellow green fall color
Comments:  Good shade tree, easy to transplant, drought and air pollution tolerant.
 
Greenspire Linden (Tilia Cordata)
Greenspire Linden Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Moderate
Height: 50' - 75' Width: 35' - 45'
Form: Pyramidal in youth, more rounded with age, densely branched Leaf: Leaves are distinctly heart-shaped with serrated edges, medium shiny green in summer, pale yellow in fall.
Comments:  Tolerates poor soil, drought, and air pollution; more ideally suited for a northern climate than for the south; easy to transplant; good honey plant.
 
Redmond Linden (Tilia Americana 'Redmond')
Redmond Linden Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Moderate
Height: 40' - 60' Width: 25' - 30'
Form: Pyramidal in youth, upright, oval canopy on a tall, straight trunk as the tree ages Leaf: Redmond has the largest leaves of the Lindens and its dense foliage is glossy green with bright yellow autumn color.
Comments:  Excellent tree for street planting. Voted 2000 Urban Tree of the Year by the Society of Municipal Arborists.
 
Autumn Blaze Maple (Acer x freemanii)
Autumn Blaze Maple Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Fast

Form: Pyramidal in youth, upright, ascending branches with an irregular rounded crown Leaf: 2" to 5" opposite, simple leaf with 3 to 5 lobes; often triangular shaped; yellow, yellow-green, orange to red.
Comments:  If you want a large, fast-growing tree with spectacular fall color, an Autumn Blaze is an excellent choice. This dependable hybrid has the vigor and adaptability of the silver maple with the beauty and strength of the red maple.
 
Deborah Maple (Acer platanoides)

Form: Dense; rounded, symmetrical crown; spreading Leaf: Dark green simple, 5 lobed leaf with sharp points; yellow fall color.
Comments:  Shallow roots make it difficulty to grow plants underneath; easy to transplant; tolerates air pollution; sensitive to 2 4-D herbicide.
 
Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum)

Form: Conical to round crown; dense foliage  Leaf: 3 to 6" opposite, simple leaf with 3 to 5 lobes; excellent fall color - yellow, orange and red tones.
Comments:  Does not do well in a restricted root zone situation, tolerates shade, leaf scorch may develop with drought; moderate pollution tolerance.
 
Black Hills Spruce (Picea Glausa 'Densata')
Black Hills Spruce Type: Evergreen Grow Rate: Moderate
Height: 30' - 60' Width: 15' - 25'
Form: Broad, dense pyramidal in youth; dense, narrow compact with ascending branches with age Leaf: .5 to .75" 4-sided pale green to glacous green needles.
Comments:  Good yard or ornamental tree. Used singly or in group plantings in recreation areas and public grounds.
 
Colorado Spruce (Picea Pungens)
Colorado Spruce Type: Evergreen Grow Rate: Slow

Form: Dense, narrow pyramidal with stiff horizontal branches Leaf: .75 to 1.3" blue-green to silver-green, 4 sided needles; prickly.
Comments:  More drought tolerant than other spruces; poor heat tolerance.

Amur Chokecherry Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Moderate

Form: Pyramidal when young, dense, rounded canopy providing light shade when grown Leaf: The medium-green leaves turn a non-descript yellowish color in autumn.
Comments:  The distinctive deep coppery-orange bark which curls
as it peels off provides year-round accent to any landscape..
 
Austrian Pine (Pinus Nigra)
Austrian Pine Type: Evergreen Grow Rate: Moderate

Form: Densely conical when young; broad, flat top with short trunk and low spreading branches Leaf: 3 to 6" stiff needles in pairs; dark green to almost black green; sharp to the touch.
Comments:  Picturesque with age; withstands city conditions; heat and drought tolerant.
 
Canada Red Cherry (Prunus Virginiana 'Canada Red')
Canada Red Cherry Type: Deciduous Grow Rate: Fast

Form: Full, rounded head with evenly spread, rapidly growing branches Leaf: Its long oval leaves are green in spring, purple in summer and red in fall.
Comments:  Wildlife friendly and highly ornamental, it makes a great windbreak or buffer plant on the edges of properties.

Form: Upright and open, round, spreading, symmetrical canopy with a regular outline Leaf: Alternate, simple, 5 to 8 inches long, oblong in shape with 7 to 11 bristle-tipped lobes. Dark red in fall.
Comments:  A large, adaptable tree has been successfully grown in urban areas where air pollution, poor drainage, compacted soil, and/or drought are common and overhead space is not limited.
 
Skyline Locust (Gleditsia Triacanthos Inermis 'Skyline')
